I'm curious about why you suggest the HiLo system? The Revere Point (multi deck variant) and Zen systems give a marginal edge over it when run through identical checks, although they are harder to learn. What do you find is the advantage of HiLo?
If you are playing for recreation or as an avocation then HiLo or KO are your best choice. The more advanced systems do provide better advantages (marginally) but also are harder to learn and be effective and promote much higher error rates.
Think of the complex systems as professional and the others as skilled amateur. Not exactly but you get my point. Like pro atheletes, if oyu are not playing and practicing every day then don't use the pro systems.
I ran a team for over 2 years and I would rather have an accurate HiLo player than a complex system player who struggles. The cost of errors in a team environment is enormous.
This is my experience and there are competing views.
