Hey guys, what was the first sport that you made a bet on. Did you win or did you take a loss? Did you learn a lot from your first experience?

I am huge fan of tennis and it was the first sport ever that I placed wagers on. Interestingly, I won the first time and will all the excitement, went on to lose the first $100 I ever made. Later on, I tried soccer and basketball but tennis still remains my most favorite. How about you?

Edmond, my first bet was soccer, because like you with tennis, I'm a huge fan of it and I love it. I also dabble in sports, but unlike you I suck with tennis.

Horse racing, and I'll admit I would probably have been considered underage as it was a family tradition. Everyone picked a horse for the big race once a year and my father placed bets for them and collected. I took a horse with middling odds because I liked the jockey's colours. It won, and I was hooked.

Experience, as they say, is the best teacher. I'm a huge fan of rugby and initially that's the only sport I concentrated on. I lost my first bet mainly because of being overambitious.

So what has experience taught me? A lot but most importantly, that research doesn't always translate to a win.

Zohan, Rugby is a great sport, and definitely a different to start betting on. I think we all had to learn a lot from our first couple of bets.
