General Spending lottery money unusually

I read a story of a man who spent all of his $3 million worth of winnings in purchasing and distributing crystal meth.

He now faces the possibility of life in prison. Would we look at this as an example of the end not justifying the means?

Self-discipline is really vital, within and without gambling.

Whenever I come across such stories, I always wonder what would drive anyone to such unwise spending.

$3 million is a huge sum that can change someone's life forever if used wisely, and what an irony that the winner could eventually end up in prison.

I don't mean to sound judgemental but I think some gamblers (and some people in general) pursue a good fortune for the wrong reasons.

It makes no sense to win all that money, then grapple with the possibility of going to jail.

Wow. Talk about using a good thing for a bad reason.
Surely that sum of money would be enough for anyone? To carry on like that is surely just out of greed.

That amount of money is able to change a gambler's life forever. It seems people have all their priorities misplaced or they are driven with very odd goals and objectives.

It is really a good story, with such a bad ending.

He had to have thought that he was "investing" in something that would make him even more money. What a sad situation. Going out and blowing it on cars or vacations is one thing, but losing it to a criminal drug proposition is outrageous.

I could definitely see myself blowing it all on houses and cars and vacations, but to use it in such a manner as this is horrific.
He must just spend his nights wondering what on earth he's done.
How stupid.

He deserve to spend his life jail because of illegal distribution of drugs. Instead of spending his $3 million for selling drugs he should just used it to play at casino. He can even put up some legal business to help create need jobs.
