General Investing winnings

Do you invest the money you win or do you spend it? I was thinking about how I have lost more money than I've won, but that if I were to invest the money I do win wisely then in the long run my wins would probably be more than my losses. What do you think?

I've never actually thought of it that way, but it does make a lot of sense that if you can invest your winnings then over time that investment will grow to balance out the losses, but I guess that depends on your win/loss ratio.

I think for that to work it would also depend on how well you manage to invest the money you win. Basically, I think that if you were that good at investing money then you really wouldn't need to play casino games for money, would you?

I'm not sure need really comes into it, I mean even millionaires and stockbrokers play casinos and they don't need the money. Investing for high returns on the stock market may be a gamble, but if you just want cumulative secure income over time, investment is a much better bet than casinos.

At this point, I do not invest any of my earnings. I've never made an investment in my life, believe it or not. However, I think it would wise to invest your earnings.

I think that it would be great for you to start investing your earnings. Even though you may not see any difference right off the back, in the future you'll be happy you did it.

That is so true, Kyndall. Investing our earnings sounds simple enough in theory but when it comes to actually implementing this in our lives, it's easier said than done.

Wow, there are such diverse views on the matter. I'm guessing this will come down to personal preference. I think it's worth researching and finding ways of investing all my winnings for the future.

I think it depends on how much you win at a time. There's no point in trying to invest the small amounts, unless you hit the jackpot or win the lottery then forget about gambling altogether. :)
