Sports How does it feel to lose by a whisker?

There's nothing as discouraging as being so close to a huge win then being let down by a single team or two.

This applies mostly for gamblers who love to use combinations. In my opinion, it is less risky using the straight single bets.

It is a totally different feeling when you are winning, but then, this involves a lot of research and planning.

Losing is never a good feeling and it even gets worse when the loss is narrow (as a result of a silly mistake or by failing to follow the gut feeling).

My thinking is that if you fear taking a high risk in gambling, then you stand to miss out on making good money. Nonetheless, such a risk should always be calculated.

I'm afraid losing is just part of gambling, the same as winning is. You have to take the rough with the smooth.
It's unfortunate and some times heartbreaking, but we need to just deal with it.

I completely agree with you. The hard part normally is in being able to understand that losing is part of the game just the same way winning is and so it takes experience to get used to everything.

If you can't accept the probability that you are probably going to lose more than you win in the long term, I don't think you should really gamble. That's how you can get yourself into difficulty.

I think the hardest part is in accepting this simple fact but I believe it does take some time to get used to it. Gambling is a step-by-step process and it is okay to feel dejected (as a beginner) whenever there is a losing streak.

I have lost several times before, simply because of a game or two that didn't go my way.

I have learned to listen to my gut feeling every time I am placing wagers; this helps at times.
