Do you prefer teaching poker tips and tricks to others or do you prefer to be taught new things by others? I prefer to learn things from more experienced players.
I think I'm like everyone else. While we're learning we want to learn only from someone who is practicing what they are preaching and has the evidence to back up their story.
I love to do both but I have realized that I'm not very patient when teaching. I grasp things easily and I love to learn as much as I can. Lately though, I have been taking a few newbies through certain trips and so far, so good for all of us.
Orton,I agree.
Zohan, I'm not very patient either when trying to teach others. I also learn things easily which is why I prefer learning over teaching.
I think once I'm really good at this, I will obviously want to find some way to pass on my knowledge and skill to others like my friends or family. If that counts as teaching, then yes, I would love to do that.
Everyone who has ever excelled at anything sooner or later starts to want to teach others how it's done. I think that's just how we are as humans. You will always want to make life better and easier for someone else by teaching them what you know.
I'm yet to meet anyone who likes learning more than they do teaching. I guess this here is a different crowd of people who appreciate the value of learning.
Kutcher, yes, once you learn the ropes and the ins and outs, you'll definitely start to feel the urge to share your tips and tricks with friends and family.
I'm with the general consensus here. I would like to learn from the best, but once I know what I'm doing and it's working for me, then I want to pass it on.
