General Devoting enough time

This may not apply to every facet of gambling but the reason for most people not doing well so as to (subsequently) build on their winnings is the failure to devote enough time to research and/or development of strategies.

It is much more beneficial to build on your winnings steadily through careful research, as opposed to betting blindly. Do you agree that this is something that most beginners and/or intermediate gamblers struggle with?

Research is important in gambling. There are times when I've ridden on pure luck but this didn't last long. You need to understand strategies and invest your time in perfecting necessary skills. Of course there are other forms of gambling (like the lottery) that don't require much skill.

I absolutely have this problem. I do not have the patience to wait and not play while I research some machine or game. I have the tendency to play now and learn as you go. Unfortunately, that is not a very sound strategy but I love it so.

My definition of a beginner is someone who has not only bet before, but also someone who has little to no knowledge of what they're doing. That's why they struggle.
