Video Poker Changing up the bet

Do you change up the bet while playing video poker? Do you bet $1.00 per hand for a while then change it up and bet $2.00 per hand while? There's a video poker place down the road from me and this lady swears that she wins more money that way. She says certain machines hit better when you change the bet. I tried it a few times and didn't notice it hitting anymore than when I bet the max the whole time.

Someone told me once that if you don't bet the max then you won't hit the big wins. I don't know how much stock I put in this strategy but she seems to win some pretty big pots. I am more of a bet changer myself. I usually only get small wins but I love them just the same.

See that's what I think too June. If I hit when I am not betting the max I would be so upset that I didn't win the max amount of money. I think it hits when it hits and it doesn't matter what you are betting. I'd rather win big over winning little.

I've heard a lot of people mention this severally but I've always believed that it has more to do with luck. Now that it's come up again here, I'm starting to think that there may be some truth to it.

So do you think that maybe the computer is set to hit a certain amount of times on a certain bet? Is this maybe the reasoning behind changing up the bet? To find out at what amount the machines is hitting on?
