I just found out that you can place bets on bicycle events during the Tour de France. I end up watching this event every year because I'm amazed at how well these cyclists perform on such difficult terrain. Does anyone know what type of bets can be placed on this event and how to get started?

I have never thought of betting on cyclists but it looks like a tough sport to try your hands on unless enough research is done. Besides the many courses in cycling like sprinting and climbing make it unpredictable so in the meantime, I think I am better off watching and enjoying it.
I don't follow cycling enough to bet on it, but the most important aspect of the sport will be just how easy it is to predict certain outcomes. With the Tour de France that will be things such as stage winners and team points. Will be good to know if anyone here has had any success betting on cycling.
