How do you feel betting against your own football team?
It isn't something I've ever done, as I see it that whatever happens, I lose!!

How do other people deal with the guilt?

I try as much as I cannot to bet against my own team but at times when they are underdogs, I get tempted with the good odds. However, whenever I try to bet against my own team, I end up losing miserably.

Yes I bet against my own team quite regularly. I'm a bit ashamed to admit it!

When I win from them losing, it's always a little bittersweet, but hey, money's money!

I have never tried betting against my own team since it is always winning.

In fact, I think it is a bad idea to bet on one's team, unless of course, you aren't a true fan.

I'd feel really terrible if I won but my team lost.

I usually steer clear of betting against my team. Something just doesn't sit right in my head about it and I think the conflict would take away any enjoyment I'd get whether I won or they won.

I avoid bets against either of my two teams.
I like football accumulator bets, but I skip the games that my teams are in.
I would hate to be in a position where I was willing my team to win, or where them actually losing won me millions!

I wouldn't feel guilt about betting against the Bronco's if the odds were stacked against them. If they were 2-12 and playing a 12-2 team in that teams stadium and someone was putting $100 on the Bronco's, I'd be a fool to pass that up.

Elway would understand. He wouldn't be happy about being 2-12, but he would understand my position.

For me, it isn't much about the guilt but really about whether or not I lose the gamble. I remember some time back when my team was close to winning the title. I analyzed the next game and with the other team having a winning run of about 5 games, placed a bet on it beating my favorite team. Guess what, I won!

I don't bet against my team, I'd rather just not bet. However, I can see how other's would bet against their team if it was obvious that they were going to lose.
