Will they become obsolete?

Do you think B&M casinos will ever become obsolete? With the online gambling community growing like crazy, I would think less and less people are physically going to a casino.

I think it will be a real shame if they do. Yes, online gambling has boomed, but I still think going to a B&M casino is something that most of us enjoy from time to time.
I tend to only go as a special occasion though to be fair.

I don't see the B&M casinos getting obsolete any time soon. You can never replicate the atmosphere at the casino with anything out there.

Again, look at the age group that frequents the B&Ms, majority of whom belong to the older generation. There's little chance that the online craze would lead to closures elsewhere.

I beg to differ here by saying that I don't think there are lesser people frequenting the physical casinos.

In my opinion, just a small percentage of gamblers actually play online. In essence, B&Ms are here to stay.

We are a society that is fast becoming accustomed to sitting behind a computer screen for everything from socializing to shopping to gambling. That said, I agree with the others that the atmosphere of a B&M casino can't be duplicated and people are always going to seek out that energy.

Sitting behind a computer is fast becoming the norm. There's really not much to do apart from getting accustomed to people hardly leaving their houses sometime in the future. B&M casinos may not completely go away but I see less people frequenting them in the days to come.
