General Technology in gambling

Indeed, gambling has evolved over the years. Just the other day, a friend jokingly said that gambling is no longer a preserve for the smoky bookmakers. It's been said that the games that quickly adapted to the internet were poker and bingo. Since online gaming is already a multi-billion dollar industry, will traditional gambling techniques wane over time?

It seems unlikely online play will take over completely. Casinos have a certain atmosphere, and a big marketing budget to make sure they stay relevant and several of them have launched online gambling sites that draw people to the physical casino.

I think that gambling is about the only thing technology will not take over. A lot of people love the atmosphere of physical casinos and don't trust online casinos, so they'll continue to attend the physical casinos.

Very true @AlltheAces. Personally, I love the feel of the B & Ms and I know that there are a lot of people like myself out there. The online casinos seem to be more popular with the younger generation, in addition to those people who cannot make it to the physical ones.
