The latest jackpot winner in our area is only 19. He won the grand prize of about $2,000,000.That's a heck of a lot of money for such a young person. This will definitely get more people placing wagers with a hope of winning. Would you be able to handle the fame that comes with such a prize? I cringe at the thought of it.

I cringe at the thought of all the publicity, but more at the fact that at age 19 the winner's not likely to have the skills to manage the money or the attention. You've really laid it out bare @Tolly. That publicity really scares me too. I often wonder why it is mandatory for the betting companies to keep publicizing such a huge win but I guess that publicity favors them eventually. I wouldn't be able to handle all that fame. I see a lot of the betting companies assign a financial advisor for the winner. I guess Jonathon's Vargas was another riches-to-rags story?

I love my confidentiality and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to handle all the publicity that comes with winning such a huge prize. At times you don't even have the time to ask whether or not a specific competition/company guarantees that confidentiality in the first place. All you'll be thinking of at this point is a huge win.
