Sports Big teams disappointing

I mostly bet on soccer teams and once in a while shift to tennis or basketball. Over the past few weeks, I have realized betting on soccer has become so unpredictable. The big teams in Europe and beyond are either losing frequently or not scoring less goals. Perhaps the competition is rife with the smaller teams beginning to build structures. I now prefer the safer (double chance) bets. Anyone sharing my opinion?

You need to take into account the psychology of teams. Like depending on the team's past few games, consider their motivation. It makes a big difference.

True Steve. You also have to look at the missing players, history of the teams, how many day's rest they've had and so on and so forth. No one should ever bet blindly by only relying on the odds. You should always remember that bookies only provide a guide that doesn't always determine a game's outcome.

I see your point, but if that were really the case, I would start betting on a football team that's 0-9 with 7 games left in the season. Making my bets higher with every loss. Sometimes motivation is a factor, but sometimes when you stink.........you stink.

Betting in general, is really exciting. You can try everything in the book but still fail to win. As far as the big teams are concerned, you can no longer be sure about a game's outcome. Take an example of yesterday where Barcelona was playing (at home) against Juventus. Who would have imagined that the game would end in a barren draw?
