When it comes to our individual personalities and gambling psychology as a whole, what traits do you think are dominant in yourself that you know you would do better if you could control?

Dyscalcula. I'm not good or fast at working out bets and odds on the fly, so I tend to memorise tables and chances. I would definitely be a better gambler at certain games if I could handle the changing probabilities faster. It also makes card-counting near impossible.

 

[Melissa]

I play for fun, so the urge to make unlikely bets to see what happens is strong. I normally control it, but sometimes if I am way ahead I'll do it for kicks with money I can afford to lose. I'm sure I'd have more money if I didn't do that, but I'd enjoy the game much less.

I hear you, Mellisa. Sometimes it's worth the risk just for the amount of pleasure that you get from making bets that some 'experts' would advise against.
