General Which religion do you think is more against gambling?

I am a Protestant and my church rarely touches on the topic of gambling. This state (NM) has a lot of Catholics and I was wondering if they are more against the evils of gambling? If you have an opinion, say so!

Gambling used to be regarded as an 'illegal' form of 'game' back in the day but presently, there's really not much resistance. It requires a lot of hard work, focus and resilience so it would be incorrect to assume that gambling is for the 'lazy' people. What I've heard people (and not necessarily churches) is that the winnings are normally derived from other people's losses, if you get what I mean.

Catholics against gambling? They are probably one the one that is least against it. One of the biggest things for Catholics to do down here is have Bingo nights! The priest sits down and plays while drinking a beer! I should know, I sat next to him last night!

Cause gambling for muslims is the same as alcohol
