Roulette What is Wheel of Fortune?

Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I thought this was a form of slots and I've seen slot machines called this, but I've now seen it used for another casino table game with a wheel like roulette but with far worse odds. The house edge is apparently nearly 11%. Have you played this, and how does it work? Are the any strategies that can level the awful odds?

Are you referring to the famous television show? All I know about the Wheel of Fortune is that contestants take part in solving word puzzles in an attempt to win cash prizes through the spinning of a giant wheel. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing though.

I've never played this but I think I've seen it. It is a casino game with a wheel that you spin and you win on certain numbers, and it is sometimes called the Big Six Wheel. Everything I have looked up says the odds are dreadful, with the house edge between 11% and 20%, which is why I've never played it.

Edited: There's an article on wikipedia under Big Six Wheel which looks like the same game.

I've never seen that one, but it sounds like a game I would like to stay far away from. Those odds aren't very encouraging, are they? I think I would call it the wheel of misfortune because of all the money one would lose there.

I recently saw a wheel of fortune slot game, is that the one you mean? If so, then it doesn't really hold much appeal for me. It's just the same as all the other slot games out there and the odds are not much better.
