Poker The origin of Poker

Poker looks like a really cool card game and I would love to learn it some day. Did you know that this game has been in existence since before the 19th century? I am just curious to know what has changed over the years. Is the modern poker very much different from what it was back then?

I think that the basics of poker are still the same, it's the different games that people play that have changed. Back when it first started most people liked to play 5-Card Draw where today more people play Texas Hold'em. Which version do you prefer?

I think poker hasn't changed much except that it's nature has changed and players have continued to raise their game in terms of poker strategies and all. I am however certain that there are many aspects of the game that have not remained the same over the years.

I think that poker is a very interesting game and it's fun to play with a group of friends. It's exciting to think that people have played these types of games for so many years and they have changed so little over time. What I would like to find is a poker set from before the 19th century and play with that one.

My husband watches a lot of old Western movies and there's always a poker scene in them. I think it's interesting that women didn't really gamble back then, but these days the casinos are filled with women.
