General The Momentum Is Growing

This story: https://www.gamblinginsider.com/new...ts-betting-set-to-generate-531m-for-minnesota helps shine a light on the momentum that is growing country wide to legalize gambling in general. It reminds me of when the cannabis issue started all those years ago and, when they started throwing the numbers out about tax revenue's, jobs, etc....., the legalizations started.

Do you think the outdated "moral" argument that has kept gambling illegal is about to go through a slow death?

Well, I think that it is up to the person whether they consider gambling a sin or not. After all, I don't have to go to the old bad place for anyone's sins but my own. I personally would like for it to be available in all states for recreation and tax revenues that can be had. Our country needs all the help it can get financially.

I'll take that as a yes, June. And I agree. We need more money to go around in this country, but what we need more is people we can trust to distribute it where it's needed.

People with morals.

Well, I would say that I am often taken aback when I hear that gambling is still illegal in some places. At the end of the day, banning something often spurs more interest and leads to more indulgence. I see the 'illegality' dying a slow death because adults are best left to decide for themselves. Look at the revenue that this industry generates! What we should be more worried is whether or not there's good use of this money.

Same here. I remember when I first heard that Japan had just recently legalized it, it blew me out of the water. They are so advanced in other areas.............I don't know, I guess I just take it for granted.

I just read another article about pot, legalizing gambling and prohibition. They discussed the fact that they are really trying to bring back prohibition by letting the government put a halt to these two issues. I am for both and I can't wait to see how it pans out!+
