We all know that gambling requires a lot sacrifice, in terms of time and money.

What's the longest time you've completely stayed away from it? I remember a time I gave myself a 2-month break.

This wasn't the easiest thing do since gambling can easily become a habit if not controlled.

The longest time I have stayed away from gambling is two weeks. I don't know if I can ever manage to do this for a month.

Every time I am winning, I cannot stop playing. I think the urge to take a break sets in during a losing streak.

I have gone for a year or so before without gambling at all.

I don't ever feel compelled to gamble or to not gamble - it's just a hobby I have so I don't really worry about it.

Oh, I've gone as long as five years without gambling. Taking the time and money to gamble depends on what is going on in my life and what kind of schedule I am keeping.

I agree with Roseanne about the kind of schedule a person has determining the level of involvement in gambling.

I don't travel as much as I used to (a year ago) so I can afford to go to the casino now, since there's a lot of free time.
