How long does it generally take for someone to learn how to play the game of craps and to learn an effective strategy to be able to win consistently?

There is a site online that claims to be able to teach people how to play craps in less than four minutes. I'm willing to bet that the basics might take a little longer than that to learn, and then it will take weeks or even months of playing and practicing before you are confident enough to win most games.

Four minutes to learn the rules is one thing. Learning to play well, like knowing the nuances of casino betting, the best ways to bet, etc, will take longer. I think you could probably get the basics down in a couple of hours in a structured class, but if you don't have a trainer or you're working online rather than in a real casino environment, it would take longer.
