Sports The 'first to score' bet

If a team is on a winning streak and there's a regular scorer, it may be a good idea to bet on such a player being the first to score. Has anyone tried this before?

I have, but that's a hard one to win. I don't look at how many points they typically score, but when in the game they score them. This is going to be at the discretion of coach as to when to best utilize the players' talents.

To me, it's an easier bet to place and win if the team isn't doing too good and rely heavily on their best player.

Well, I think this works when a team has a player(s) who's consistently scoring. If you look at the major teams in the top leagues around the world, there are a few players who are always notching in goals. It is not the safest bet but one that can win anyone a good amount.
