General Overall, have you made a loss or profit?

Irrespective of whatever you bet on, have you gained or lost cumulatively? For me, it has always been a series of losses followed by a rare win. I think generally, gambling is designed to ultimately benefit anybody apart from the player. Could it be that I need to re-evaluate my strategies?

I guess if I really sat down and thought about it, I've probably lost more than I have won. I think this happens a lot to people who don't play all of the time. It is really rare that I win a big payout. Mainly I just win back what I've put in.

My thoughts are that if you really play often, then you stand to lose more. I think it only helps when you are playing for fun and not looking to win because it can be shocking to sit down and analyze whether you have gotten anything out of gambling.

I only like to play for fun so I don't really keep track of how much I win or lose. I think that if I did keep track then I would get discouraged and wouldn't play anymore. I do know some people that keep a running total of their gains and losses as a way to determine if their strategy is working or not.

I tried keeping track of how much I was spending and/or making and got so discouraged, so much that I opted to take a month's break.

Gambling can take a toll on your mind and I think it is better when you are not playing regularly (unless you are one of the seasoned players out to make a fortune).

I don't keep track formally, but I feel like overall I've come close to breaking even. If I ever felt like I was completely losing my shirt, I'd probably stop and reevaluate my strategies and what I'm actually looking to accomplish.
