Sports Making assumptions

It pays to do some research before placing wagers. That's not to say that luck doesn't work at times; I've won several times before just by wagering without looking at any statistics.

However, just last week, I made an assumption that a favourite team was going to win simply because it was playing against a weak team.

It turns out the whole usual line-up had been reshuffled and the team fielded what you'd refer to as a 'weaker' team. The final result was a barren draw and I have since learnt not to make assumptions.

If I'm going to do a quick bet on a sports team, it will be a low amount. If you want to bet $500 that the Bronco's will lose next week, I need 5 days to prepare. The IRL, suspensions because of drugs, new acquisitions along with game numbers and stats will all come into play if I bet that amount of money.
