I've been asked at work to take over managing the lottery syndicate, and I'm so reluctant to do it!

I ran one years ago when the girl who had set it up left the firm, and I swear people used to act as though it was MY fault that the syndicate hardly ever won anything. Even though everyone had a list of our numbers and checked the results each week for themselves, a few people still acted as though I was fiddling things!

Has anyone else experienced this ?

Lotto is just bad odds gambling. Its a small investment but the odds are so remote. The house edge is terrible.

Tell your workmates they have better odds on random stock market investments.

I have turned down the offer of running it. I'm not even in the work syndicate, and yet they asked me to run it!!

I know the odds are rubbish, but imagine IF they did win big - and I'd just been the chump managing it for them

I would run it, but I would also eventually weed out the dummies who think I or anyone else has any say in what numbers are chosen. This is supposed to be fun and people like that ruin ot for everyone else.
