Craps Iron Cross system?

I've heard this Craps strategy mentioned over the years, and seen a lot of interest in this currently with people claiming that a modified version is unbeatable. I have trouble believing that or everyone would play it and the casinos would either be bankrupt, banning people, or changing the game. So have you ever played it? How well does it work?

I had never heard of it, but I must say it does have a really unfortunately name. I did look it up though, and since it is a specific combination of bets if it beat the house every time, the casinos would have changed the rules to block it.

Iron Cross refers to a system of place betting 5, 6 & 8 and simultaneously betting Field. This is "companion betting." While a 7 is not thrown, the routine pumps out money with every throw of the dice. I have personally bet the routine and, I think, profited from it. The fly in the ointment is that the average craps decision is made about every 3.5 throws. Four bets are at risk. While "Iron Cross" is entertaining to bet, I haven't found a combination that is profitable. I am not sure that a combination is possible. This is an unanswered question. The "Iron Cross" faces the Iron Equation that only one bet may be won (with a dice roll) but four bets may be lost.
