Craps Hoe do you become a shooter?

This is actually an interesting game (if I may call it so) or I think I just have a fetish for most dice games. I remember fumbling around and not knowing the rules, as a novice.

I prefer being a shooter in most instances and the only way to become eligible is to bet on the Pass Line or Don't Pass Bar.

You mention being a shooter then I remember something I read about controlled shooting. How possible is it to control the rotational characteristics of the dice? How practical is the theory that if the tossed in a particular way, the dice can just land at a spot that increases the probability of their remaining on the same axis?

Players i know studied it thoroughly. actually it is possible, but the edge was only very small even in good conditions. one of them is a new member here, maybe he can give more detail.

basically they ran computer simulations to find generally what types of throws worked best. they found more momentum along an axis, combined with a type of throw, helps maintain the axis. they wanted to keep one part secret though, in case they ever used it.

I've been teaching dice influence for almost 20 years now. With an SRR of 7 you have roughly a 1% edge on the game. No one likes to hear the math of this but I'll go ahead and toss out some approximate numbers. With a 1% positive EV betting an average of $22 in the game and betting on 50 decisions per hour your average expectation is about $8 an hour. Card counters at blackjack face the same numbers more or less. The thing is, standard deviation provides you with some opportunities to win more. I'm working without a net on these numbers, but I think they're fairly accurate. With a 1% EV you can expect the occasional positive swing up to around $470. Likewise you can expect a negative swing of around $360. Point being, there is one thing you can control other than the influence of the dice - and that's when you cash out. To win big you have to pick the right exit points - whether you are winning or losing. Now, there are plenty of math experts out there who will argue with me on this one. I can only speak from experience. My biggest wins have all come when I've had my bets "off" or "down" when the ugly number showed up.
