General Fantasy time - what will you do when you hit that jackpot??

I am sure I am not the only one that fantasises about hitting that sweet sweet jackpot one day.
But would be the first thing you'd di?
I would definitely book a last minute holiday leaving the very next day, so I would have two weeks to think about my next steps....

Whenever I think about winning the jackpot, my mind just wanders into oblivion. I never even get to fantasize about how I'd spend the money.

This looks like one experience that can really be overwhelming. If it ever happened, I'd be on the next plane to an unknown destination enjoying the 'fruits of my labor' before reality sets in.

I wouldn't want any time to think - I would just want to go out and just spend spend spend.
I'd buy myself a couple of cars and a house and a holiday home or two.
And that's just to start!

Don't get me wrong Tiger - while I was away on holiday I would still probably spend a lot of time online checking out cars and houses that I would be able to get when I got home!! ;D

Ah I can't even think about it. My list of things I would buy if I hit a jackpot is so long I would be here all day and all night.
A bottle of decent champagne would be first though.

We all have so many things we want to buy, but I realize it's also hard to tell where to start. Perhaps it should start from paying all those debts, then buying a house, a car, and a bunch of awesome latest gadgets, and saving whatever remains.

For me, it's not a question of 'when' but rather what I'd do 'if' Iever win the jackpot.

This is one of those things that I fantasize about then wonder how it must feel to win.

I guess I'll just have to hope my lucky day is on the way.

I have had some really big wins In the past but no matter how big, the list of things I want to buy is always bigger!

I actually had a nice win last night and so I will be buying myself a new iPod this week. I'm so grateful because my old one broke this week and I was wondering how I would get the money together for a replacement!

I just found a good read in this article. It's an interesting contrast if I compare it to my own thoughts and the replies here. These jackpot winners were definitely in different situations compared to our small winnings, but I think the approach concept is similar and can proven helpful for any plans.

It is really sad to read that there are folks whose lives have worsened after winning the lottery. How weird can life get at times?

In my opinion, it is important to have a plan of what we'd do with all that money if the jackpot ever became a reality. I love the fact that the article ends on a happy note, with the story of the Castellanos who won $141 million in 2001. We definitely need to hear more from people who've won and put the money into good use.
