Sports Could Live Betting Help The NFL?

Viewership and interest in American Football has been declining lately. Some people speculate that if certain laws were lifted and live gambling on games were permitted, viewership and interest would see a sharp rise.

What say you? Would it make a difference?

Of course, I think that is totally possible. I do not, however, imagine that lifting laws would necessarily increase viewing. There would be some rise in the number of places viewing the game but it fluctuates anyway so not sure if that would be the cause.

I am not sure if this option would work. What is causing this decline in the first place and was it possible to bet on live games before? In my opinion, viewership isn't necessarily precipitated by gambling.
