Do you play single bets per spin or do you play combination bets? I've seen them come up in discussion here, so what combinations do you go for, and do they pay out well?

I like that combination bets in roulette allow you to manipulate the risk to reward ratio. As a beginner I've mostly been playing straight up bets but this is something I want to learn more about.

I play combination bets, but go for an approach called double cover. It basically means making sure that if one bet wins another does not have to lose. A really basic example is betting on black and either 19-36 or top 12 because those two have marginally more black squares. If it lands on a red in the top section, the winnings cover both bets, on a black in the bottom the same, and a black in the top makes a profit.

There's a lot more to it than this, but that's basic idea.

Sounds simple enough. That's the sort of thing that I now need to start incorporating into my games rather than going for the most basic bets all the time.
