They say that money can bring out the worst in people. I wonder how many people running their work's lottery syndicate dip into the winnings and steal from their colleagues....?

Money typically brings out the worst in people who were bad to begin with. I would say that out of 100 lottery pools, 50 get stolen from.

I just don't know how anyone can do that to their work colleagues. Whether it was $10 or $1000, or if it was $1000000 and you then quit your job, shame on you.
