In light of last weeks shooting, what do you think should be done in terms of security in Las Vegas?

More secure windows? Metal detectors?

Honestly I don't know how this guy went undetected by security. How does one get that many guns in a hotel without anyone noticing. I think that the fact that he was able to bust out the windows in a high rise hotel tells us that there needs to be more restrictions on the building codes of the hotels.

I will not be attending any outdoor concerts in the near future. They are too hard to secure. You can never stop the assault from above like Las Vegas. As far as indoor concerts go, I would use metal detectors, intense security checks on all pertinent workers at the concert and security cameras out the yang. Still, if someone is willing to give up their life to get yours, there isn't much you can do about that.

This one will generate a lot of heated debate and a lot of suggestions as well. I think it is about time the whole security issue is reevaluated and proper measures put in place to ensure that such incidences do not recur. It is so sad that lives were lost in such a gruesome way, especially when the concert goes had entrusted their safety to the authorities that were. I agree that restrictions around building codes need to revisited.
