General Betting your winnings?

Do you bet your winnings or put them aside for a rainy day? I follow a basic strategy of always putting aside half of each win so I know I'll leave with something at the end of the night, and gambling with the other half. Unless I finally hit the big one when I'll count myself lucky and quit permanently! So do you gamble your winnings as they come or keep them?

Betting your winnings is risky and there's always a big chance that you'll lose all of it. I think I will have to borrow your strategy of gambling with half of it. It is a good way of ensuring that you don't necessarily lose out on everything.

I do not bet my winnings, at least not on the same night that I win them. I have a set amount of money that I will bet that night and my winnings isn't included in it.

I have a similar strategy to yours, Caitlin. Whenever I win, I tend to make sure that I never bet all of it again just in case I lose it all, so I put away a fraction of it and bet with the rest. How much I put aside varies and depends on the situation I'm in.

I think you're either a timid or tentative gambler (is that the right word?) or you're a risk taker, and if you're going to lose you're just as likely to lose your money a little bit at a time as you are to lose it all at once, in my opinion, so I would bet it all if I had won it and possibly make much more.

I don't think it's such a great idea betting all your winnings. Yes you might win big but more likely than not you will lose it all in one go and that is the worst thing you can do in that situation.
