Poker is a fun game, but its very popular for professional players. Is it the most profitable casino game?

I've only just recently been bitten by the poker bug, and I am so eager to learn as much as I can about this game. So far what I've seen online and on TV is very intriguing for us beginners and I wonder if I will ever get to play at that level in time. Can that kind of skill be taught or is it really something that you have to be born with?
