Horse & Dog A night at the dogs on Saturday

I hadn't been to the dog track for years and years but then talking about it here last week reminded me what a great night out it used to be!

So I got together a group of friends on Saturday and we went. It was a great night - by the last race some of us were a bit up, some of us were a bit down. On the last race, we all decided to bet on the same dog. And he came in!!!

We all ended up going home with more money than we'd taken, and had a great night out too. Thanks to this forum for reminding me what a great night it is.

A girls night out? Glad you had fun with it.

I would have placed a bet on the possibility that you all won on the same bet when it was your last one.

That's awesome! It's always a great night when everyone leaves ahead. I hate going to the track or the casino and having everyone win but me! Glad you all had fun!

Reading this, I actually could picture all of you having fun. Some years back, we used to live next to a race track and you'd find us in the stands on most weekends. I look back at those years nostalgically.

@lordcole - arrange a night out and go!!

We hadn't all been for years and years so it brought back a lot of old memories but also created some new ones. Oh. That sounded really cheesy didn't it?!!

Yes, it did. But that's ok. You had fun and that's what's important.

Did they serve cheesecake? Or did you bring your own?

Had to ask ;)

Haha alright there's no need to be like that!! Cheeky.
I brought my own. And plenty of it. Enough for everyone at the track.... and still had a lot of leftovers ;)
