General Right age to start gambling

Children definitely have no idea of how to balance emotion and logic and so aren't able to make informed decisions. Around the age of 23 and 24, people are just beginning to use their fully matured brains hence there is better decision making. In fact, children who gamble before the age of 12 are four times likely to become problem gamblers.

That is a scary statistic because in this day and age, there are many kids being introduced to gambling from a very young age. I agree that it is much better if an individual is introduced to gambling in their early twenties.

Most children do not understand the nuances that are involved in betting. Bluffing, etc. are well above their abilities. They have tells that they are not aware of. I believe that gambling should not be allowed until 21 years of age.

I think that the age of 21 is old enough. At that age you are legally an adult and responsible for your actions. I know high school kids may gamble and place bets at home but I think 21 the lowest age I'd want them in a casino.

I certainly wouldn't want any child of mine younger than about 21 at a casino.

I think I was about 25 when I started to gamble. That was probably about ok!
