Lets be honest, a lot of people hit up the slot machines and they lose over and over again. What do you think is approximately the true payout rate for most casinos?

The mistake that most players make is walking to a slot machine without understanding the slot machine payout percentage.

What I know is that percentage is normally written in the software installed in the slot (at the factory) but I know that most casinos alter this.

Kenzow, yes, a lot of people go in thinking that it's their lucky night and not realizing that it'll be their lucky night when the slot machine/casino says it's their lucky night.

In the US the state gambling commissions have set minimum "return to player" percentages. Many are 80%. Actual RTP is likely near 85% on slots and 88% on video poker.

I know that all machines are different. A friend of mine used to win quite a lot from the slots. They find a machine they watch for a while and see how much payout the other person is getting. Then, when they come back to the casino they have an idea of which machines to play for the best payouts. I don't know how accurate that is, but they sure do win more than most.
