Blackjack Play against the dealer or other players?

This one is for the card gamers in general, so its not necessarily just blackjack. Do you prefer playing against a casino dealer or informal or tournament-style against other players? The player I was talking to said it was easier to predict dealers because they have set rules they have to follow. Are there any other ways the games differ if you're playing against a house dealer rather than another player as bank?

It's been said that when you are playing one-on-one against the dealer in Blackjack, you can get in more hands per hour. You also have less distraction because no player will be making comments based on how you play.

A house dealer is easier for me because I know what they are going to do, like stand on seventeen in blackjack. It is harder to play groups with a moving banker (like player vs player where the casino lets you do it) because people will make unpredictable plays and sometimes they get lucky. On the flip side they normally don't, so for a good player there's more to be won from it and the house generally doesn't object to card counting if it isn't causing them losses.
