They don't pump oxygen into the casino to make you feel good. The truth is that your own body pumps chemicals into you that do that. Adrenalin and dopamine are only part of your own chemical reaction to causing you to seek stimulation while gambling. These chemicals can desensitize you into not minding losing for instance. They can take you out of the logic center of your mind and into the satisfaction center. You must fight your way back into the logic center if you wish to keep your senses.
No, a change in a dealer does not change the flow of the wheel being nothing more than a random number generator. Unless of course you think you are a visual ballistics expert and can clock the wheel and ball like a mainframe computer. A few probably think that they can, and some hide computers on themselves somewhere to do exactly that.
Can a progression beat a game of chance without a bet selection method tracking current conditions in order to pick when and where to bet? No it can't. But many new players try these mindless, barge forward, approaches first anyway. It's not until they get killed off enough times that they start to try to figure out why. That's when they consider other approaches.
